Ok, does anyone have any suggestions about how to convince Estlcam it is safe to not raise the tool? I will try some experiments with this in...
no I'm not drawing the holding tabs in my outline, nor in my model. I am creating them when I make the 2D outline cutout in estlcam - then when I...
I have only used free. There was something i couldn't do in block, but I now forget what it was. There was just generally less control in block....
If so then there should be a threshold where the hole is large enough relative to tool diameter that it isn't considered necessary.
Interestingly I don't see any unnecessary Z moves in the video above. So maybe there is a setting.
It would be great to know why these extra Z moves happen. I have also noticed it with spiral drilling, and I think also 2D pocketing using...
If anyone wants to examine the Gcode it is here: http://halfshavedyaks.xyz/forumimages/maple-over-fineXa.nc
and here's a screenshot of the toolpath showing the unnecessary Z axis moves [IMG]
here's what the 3D free carving dialog looks like in Estlcam 11 [IMG]
BTW I'm not doing v-carving (that means using a v shaped engraving bit right?) I am doing full 3D carving using a variety of bits mostly ballnose....
I don't use the estlcam machine controller as that would require me to run windows on my machine controller computer. I may try it sometime but I...
Weirdly I can't find an actual UK supplier for that. It is obtainable from a chinese amazon seller but that's the only source I've found. I...
what 24v PSU did you use? I have 12v (printer) and 36v (workbee CNC) cheap ones that seems to work fine, but would prefer something with a better...
well a Lead CNC is quite similar to a workbee if I understand correctly. On my 750x1000mm workbee I found: * Make the table as flat as possible...
I'm also wondering about changing to 24v or more... I'd have to change: * nozzle heater element * part fan * hotend fan * electronics cooling...
I've started buying the parts. There are loads of "TB6600" out there, I'm not sure how much they vary in quality. The ones that look like the...
thanks. I am having much less difficulty now. I got the Gwizard software for feeds and speeds which I kind of hate, as it is expensive...
This board presumably does it. But I'm not sure where it is getting the optocoupler voltage from. From the 12v supply? 12V 2-Channel Relay Board...
what I'm trying to say is that I has assumed I would run the optocoupler from arduino 3.3v from the due and the relay coil from 12v from the main...
hmm OK I get the gist of the schematic. I was thinking I'd run the relay operating power (RY-VCC) off the 12v supply since 12v relays are...
