I got the ballscrew not the acme one. ZYLtech 12mm 1204 Antibacklash Ball Screw w/ Ballnut - Pre-cut lengths 250mm-1000mm
Any back lash nuts that use this lead screw and fit in the C-Beam? Is it possible to cut down the one that came with it?
I like linuxCNC with mesa cards. It will run gcode from fusion 360. You might want to check out CamBam software. Fusion is kind of difficult. Grbl...
Wow, I would be interested in this. I don't like the belts either. 8mm lead screws are not that great for long distances. 10mm lead screws would...
I use LinuxCNC. My home is the bottom left corner. I use touch off to zero out everything on the work piece.
I did something like this. I put a rabbet on the edge of some 1/2" mdf. I screwed this down to my machine floor with brass screws. It is 2 pieces...

I burnt out a driver on the xpro. The grbl programs seem kind of buggy to me. I was constantly shutting them down and restarting. Good looking...
If it was me working this then I would do the following. I would square it up. Measure diagonally from corner to corner. The measurements should...
Need some more info. What machine are you talking about? LinuxCNC can offset the independent y motors. You do need limit switches.
Great instructions. Do you have to drill and tap the edge for the rail stabilizer thing on top of the X axis carriage? I would flip the plates...
You could put the both on the inside and put the Z axis on the other side of the X axis.
So why is one pillar on the outside the rail and one on the inside? I see you did it for extra X travel. I think I would have flipped the X...
Sounds like my experience with xpro and ugs. I scrapped it all and went with keling drivers and linuxcnc. This setup works great for me.
I am going with a 800w air cooled spindle.
You went top of the line on everything. I am surprised you didn't go with a spindle.
