Hi all. Wondering if someone could help. I’m using LightBurn and working on a project (Christmas presents) but when I start my cuts te laser fires on the pwm but between each section the 10watt laser keeps firing and I’m left with the lines shown in the photos, has anyone got any ideas how to stop this from happening I’m using my Workbee 1050 with an x-pro v4 Also I’m using air assist when cutting but I don’t know if you can see clearly in the photos but there seams to be a lot of scorching, in the YouTube videos I’ve seen this doesn’t seam to happen with air assist, is it something I’m doing wrong? And finally, Do I need to a alter my z axis after every pass. Max 3 passes at 100% 100mm/min and it’s only just getting through to the underside
Scorching: Using M4 with well tuned acceleration settings works a lot better (see gnea/grbl) Laser staying on: Either Laser Mode is not enabled (see gnea/grbl ) or the GCODE is not grbl1.1 compatible Z passes: Yes, 445nm lasers have a very narrow depth of field where its focussed, adding Z moves helps. Also, 10w is a bit of a stretch, the technological limitation of 445nm tech at this time is around 6.5w (either its a lie, or its being overdriven and won't last long) - those lasers are great at engraving (on organics), for cutting you want 40-100w of CO2 power instead though
I also have a 10 watt Endurance. I don't use Lightburn but make sure the mininum power setting is 0, if you have it set to 1 the laser will never turn off, and even at 1 it will leave a mark.
