I am building my workbee 1050 and watching the 1010/1050 electronics video. On the video it talks about 13ft 3 connector for both the x and y limit switches but I only received 7 ft ers. Same problem with the motor 4 connector for the z. Will the 7 ft ers work? Or do I really need 13ft ers? Are there any other differences between the 1010 and 1050 in terms of electronics?

    Not really

And wire lengths are really up to you too, depends where you want to place your blackbox, run them however you'd like your setup

Peter, if I were to follow the video exactly, would 7 ft ers work? I realize if I move the blackbox I could actually use a 1 ft er.

Yeah, it should. Packing BOMs get updated more regularly than the videos (harder to redo the videos)

Peter, thank you. It's just that the 1050 parts list that was sent with my shipment has 7ft ers printed and that is what they sent. But the video says 13ft ers.

Those videos get produced even before a product launches (so theres assembly instructions from day 1) - as time goes on kits, and packing lists evolve. Written instructions are easier to update of course, but videos convey that level of details better. Can't win them all, so just bear with it.

Easiest way here is just lay the wire out along the path it will be taking. You’ll know real quickly if it’s long enough.
