I purchased a 24V Meanwell Power Supply bundle for a class project and after assembling it, checked the power output. The meter was reading about 60 volts instead of the stated 24 volts. I have gone over all the assembly with other people, and everyone agrees that it was put together correctly but we don’t understand why it is putting out 60 volts. It is set up for 110v and using the power cord that came with the set. Any ideas why it would not be producing the correct power output?
Are you sure your multimeter is correct - incorrect multimeter setting (AC or amperage instead of DC volts) or flat batteries in multimeter can also reflect incorrect readings. Measure some other known voltage nearby Was there any events that could have damaged it? A new Meanwell should output the correct voltage, if it does not contact the store for a warranty return: Support
