Hello All, Has anyone else found that the heads on the 50mm bolts used to mount the OpenBuilds branded NEMA 23 motors are too big? (the diameter of the head won't allow the bolt to sit flush and turn on the NEMA flange) My fix was to chuck the bolts into my drill and run them across my belt sander carefully reducing the diameter of the heads. I "think" that's a viable solution but hopefully I didn't solve a problem I didn't actually have because I was doing something dumb with the NEMAs and bolts. I tried other motor orientations and some of the holes in the motor flange did work a little better but ultimately I ground all 8 bolts so I could get the motors oriented how I wanted them. Thanks, - Don (Wip)
I found I had to drill out the bolt holes on the steppers quite often so that the bolt could sit square when mounted.
