Having some issues with x-axis drift on my Acro 1510 - converted to drawbot/pen plotter. When drawing close to the 0,0 origin point, calibration is fine. But the further from the origin point, the more the x-axis calibration goes out. y-axis seems fine anywhere within the frame, but x-axis drifts more the further to the left of the origin it gets. Have used calibration wizard multiple times, have replaced x-axis timing belt twice, have re-tightened wheels and pulleys on the x-axis gantry - same result each time - with subtle variation in the magnitude of the error. Initially was drawing with motor speed up very fast - so took it down a notch and now less noticeable but still a big error occurring. **RESOLVED** Letting people know in case it helps anyone else - haven't seen this exact issue on the forums before. Turns out the pulley on the Y2 motor was a tiny bit larger than the pulley on the Y1 motor. I used the pulleys that came with the kit - so assumed they were all the same - strange that they werent. Changed all the pulleys with ones I had lying around and knew were the same size and hey presto the drift is gone. The kit comes with 3 pulleys - X, Y1, Y2 - its possible the pulley for the X was the one that was different to the other two - but replacing all three fixed it anyway. Also helped that I broke my error testing down into very basic parts so I could test just one thing at a time. Rather than drawing a grid and trying to figure out what part of the machine was causing an error in the drawing - I just tried left-right, then back-forth, separately so it was easier to pinpoint what part of the machine was causing the error.
From who did you buy this kit? Our kit comes with 3 of the same pulleys, so if one was different, you can ask the store to rectify any packing mistakes.
