Adobe Illustrator file exported as dxf

    I'm having trouble opening a dxf file created by Illustrator. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? Please and thank you!!!

    Generic answer:
    The DXF format has various versions and types. For CNC style work, most often, you want to convert all drawings to Polylines and saving as an older version (R14) of the DXF standard is more compatible with most software, so for example for OpenBuilds CAM, we want "DXF R14 Polyline" formatted files
