Hi! My late husband built a CNC router using parts he purchased from Open Builds. He sadly died almost four years ago, but I still have the CNC in my workshop. I've used it a bit, but have decided it's time for me to sell it.
It's 1200 x 1200 on a massive custom built bed so can take a full sheet of ply. It's water cooled and has lots of extra bits and pieces with it.

    1. Can anyone here help me price it?
    2. Where on earth do I go about selling it? I've been told it's of semi-commercial quality/capability.

If there's a possibility of help through this forum I'll organise some photos of all the various bits and pieces.

Cheers and thanks in advance :)

Unfortunately, you're probably going to need to market it locally as once built, these systems take a lot of effort (and money) to ship. As far as pricing, you should be able to get a reasonable estimate of what full value of the parts are worth from the OBPS and anything not sold here can be estimated at AliExpress. You might shoot for 60% of full value but truly you may have to settle for much less. These are built for people to enjoy but sadly they do not retain value. And finally, if the reason for parting with is not as much financial as it is an issue of reclaiming the space it is taking up you might consider passing it along to a vocational charity. Your husband might be happy it is going on to be put to good use.

Thanks Rick 2.0 I appreciate you taking the time to reply to me! I'll see what I can work out based on your feedback :) And yes, I'd been thinking about potentially donating it.

Hello G, yes pics would be a good idea to get started. I'm also in NZ and my first thought was Trademe. Have you used them in the past?
