Hi all I have a fresh upload of GRBL til an arduino UNO ( also tried with NANO to check for faulty board) I have not changed any settings to make sure that is not the issue. I have attached a pic of how it is connected. Drivers are TB6600 with 24v supply, nema 23 steppers. I have movement on all axes - but only in plus direction. When i hit the minus direction nothing happens. If only I had movement in the same direction whether i hit the plus or minus button I would suspect the DIR signal, But nothing moves anywhere when i press minus. Can anyone suggest a solution, please and thank you.
first disconnect the PSU ground from the arduino and from the step/dir - pins. (power ground is not signal ground!) connect the pulse/dir - pins to the arduino ground connect the dir+ and pulse+ pins to the 7/4 6/3 5/2 pins as needed or even better rewire like this TB6600 and Arduino - Wiring and demonstration — Curious Scientist (but note his arduino pins are wrong for GRBL of course). you can connect an LED in series with a 150ohm resistor between gnd and a direction pin to see it turning on and off as direction changes. polarity does matter of course. also make sure you have the motor windings correct , just in case docs:blackbox:faq-identify-motor-coils [OpenBuilds Documentation]
