I am trying to update my Workbee from Duet to Blackbox. The first BlackBox had a faulty Y2 output. I received and installed a new Muscle board and now none of the motors will move, they just vibrate loudly when I jog. I have searched the Forum and found little helpful. I have checked wiring and also checked that the current controls are centralised. Have I forgotten to do something in installing the new muscle board ?

Motors came from ooznest UK. Worked OK with old Muscle board. see my last Post 'Y2 not working'. Im just trying the old muscle board again to see if I rewired motors incorrectly

Gee Im so embarrassed. They were wired as per the instruction but obviously not OB motors. All were obviously wired incorrectly. I have changed the wiring but the X motor is homing towards the right hand side. I assumed it should home towards the left. The Z homes OK and so does the Y. The X Jog goes in the correct direction not sure if I have to reverse an X coil polarity similar to three phase wiring or change the direction in the software.

If its a standard machine, its nicer if the physical build matches the profile - so future updates, having to restore the profile after some corruption or a replacement controller, etc - it all just works without changes. So on that argument, I'd recommend fixing the wiring, just reverse the order. What is now 1,2,3,4, becomes 4,3,2,1 to reverse the motor (or 1,2,4,3 will also reverse it - flipping just one coil also does)

All is now working well. For anyone who has purchased from Ooznest UK, The motor coil pairs are red/green and Blue Yellow. I am now very happy with a working blackbox. Thanks once again for your help. I shall now be delving into creating certain macros so you are likely to hear from me again.
