Just got this Black Box and wired it up as per instructions. X-axis moves Left/Right per jog commands as also does the Z-axis. Y-axis sounds like grinding noise and moves in a choppy motion all wires are tight and retightened. Also OpenBuilds control software homing button is grayed out without any access. I loaded my GRBL settings that were saved from my X=controller before the Black Box install. And every Axis moved as it should and the Limit switches worked fine. Any help is appreciated. Dave
Checkout the symptoms in section (1) of docs:blackbox-x32:faq-identify-motor-coils [OpenBuilds Documentation] - grinding noises and shaky moves are tell tale signs of motor wiring, so do go over it using the prescribed procedure - one of the 4 motor wires are loose somewhere. That means you have not Enabled "Homing" in Grbl Settings. Have a read through Grbl v1.1 Configuration · gnea/grbl Wiki
Make sure to ENABLE Homing in Grbl Settings - if its not enabled, the button is grayed out (because its disabled in Firmware settings)
Any one posting issues with windows 10 after installing the Black Box X-32? My USB mouse is not responding after installing the FTDI USB software from your site and I also used to use PicSender as my sender program but it crashes when trying to run the Black Box. Sorry for all the questions but looking forward to getting up and running ASAP
