Hi I have just bought the black box x 32. All wired up. I checked continuity of the wires all seems good. but I can't home the machine. I get an error message. Alarm 8 Homing fail, cycle failed to clear limit switch when pulling off. Try increasing pull off setting or check wiring. Everything is at least 50mm away from the switches. The machine moves fine when jogging , it's nice and smooth. All axes move in the correct direction. Any idea what to do? Thanks
Use Troubleshooting tab to test switches by hand. Make sure they are not inverted (triggered when off), and correct axis (didn't plug Z into X)
Hi Peter I will check again but I'm quite sure they are round the right way. It's always worth checking again. When testing by hand the X is Green but all the others are red saying triggered.
Either incorrect Grbl Settings ($5=7 for BlackBox X32 with our switches on all axes) or the red ones are wired wrong
also, be sure to calibrate before turning homing on. if the steps/mm are not correct it cannot withdraw from the hit switch the correct distance, might be too short, might be too far.
