I was doing a Y axis calibration. I had exact numbers from a piece that I machined so rather than going through the wizard procedure I calculated the correction needed to the stepping and tried entering directly into the BlackBox parameters (Lead 1010 machine). The entry window went to highlighted red and I couldn't get beyond that. I went through a number of routes to try to recover control, the order of which I really can't remember, without success. Bottom line now: I can communicate via the USB link between the BlackBox and the Control software but the actuators do not respond except for an occasional clunk. Bottom line, the BlackBox is not driving the actuators. Is there anything that I can do to recover it or do I need to buy a new BalckBox.
Reload the stock profile: CONTROL > Grbl Settings tab > Select machine from the list > Save and reset when prompted
Thank you, that worked. I had been into that pathway several times but did not finish it because I failed to notice that the save icon popped up on top, at the left end of the top bar. I had been looking for additional instruction in the main window after having selecting the firmware from the list
