I just got my kit and also the upgrade for the nema23 height reduction add-on. I have gotten thru Marks' video up to the point of attaching the Z-axis stepper motor. I stopped and got the reduction kit. It has four 25mm screws to replace the four 20mm screws to attach the bearing block at the top. It appears that the 20mm screws might be able to be used to attach the motor to the plate but what to use with it. Do I need to get four 5mm nuts so that the motor can be attached or just get my welder and attach it real permanent like? Bob Teeter

Thank you, just the answer I was looking for. They just need to add four 5mm nuts to the kit on the shop site. Now on to the electronics
My bad, i didnt add Nuts to the list. Will do now (; can't imagine there are people out there who dont have spare M5 nuts on the shelf lol. #hoardingproblems
Peter, as he wasn't working from your list, it wasn't the problem. The nuts either need added to the kit in the shop or at least some recognition of the fact that they are needed should be provided. (BTW, if you're going to show the M5 nuts in your list you might also want to include the 4 additional M5 screws.)
Actually - the 4 M5 screws are the ones you remove to install the M5 25mm screws so you just move the screws around and with 4 M5 nuts you can strap up the stepper motor just fine. By the way, I went out to my Metal shop instead of my Wood shop got in the bottom drawer of my roll around cabinet pushed and shoved things around and found my bag of 100 M5 nuts. They worked just fine. So success....
