- Alex, you beat me to it. If I understand correctly, the stepper wiring / current has been resolved and now limit switches are the issue? To wire "plain jane" switches to the Blackbox : "c" (common) goes to GND and "no" (normaly open) goes to SIG. Wire "nc" to SIG if you run your switches for break sense. If using Xtension switches GND to GND, V+(LED) to V+, SIG to SIG. Not rocket science, kiddo. As Alex said, wire color not really important except for keeping your connections straight. I think the Xtension wires use BLACK,RED, BLUE color scheme. Switches broke..from the PCB? From the solder terminals?
I try to send support issues over here. Its much easier here than FB. But everyone has their preference I suppose.
Follow the advise above, step by step, and advise. Disconnect everything Just plug in USB Make sure you have FTDI Drivers installed
Thanks for the screenshot but no mention of the rest? - Wiring mistakes can prevent the board from booting properly - incorrect FTDI Drivers can cause USB issues: Virtual COM Port Drivers
Yes. I can see a red light on the controller flash when I do that. But after that still no connection.
Does it succeed or fail (on the Serial terminal) The more details the quicker we can get to the bottom of it.
I don't know what that means. It was working fine until the fan quit. I have made no changes to the controller or my computer.
Please email http://support.openbuilds.com/support/home and explain the whole history As the Fan (not sure where that comes into the story) might be another clue
