Hi everyone, first I have to mention that I have never done this before but this is my first attempt. I want to carve some letterings on a faceplate, I am using wood for my test until I can master what I need to do. The words will be instructions under each button hole. UP DN On Off I have a few more but this is just a quick rundown. I normally use Sketchup and Estlcam for everything I am doing on the CNC. I attempted carving yesterday using a 15deg bit since I have so many of this things and keep thinking that this is what's used for carving letters. That didn't work out too good since I didn't know what I was doing and the bit was way too small. The letterings on the faceplate should be 1/4" x 1/4" not very big. What bits should I use, also what software do I need to do a crash course on to achieve this? This is the final step to get this front plate done. Thanks..
For v-bits you'd use a process called V-Carving, typically the easiest way to use that would be Vectric Products - OpenBuilds Part Store
