Understand but it sucks. I am trying to sell me acro so I could but a lead cnc. Guess I will have to wait until I sell the laser engraver before I buy the cnc.
Selling it through OpenBuilds would of been faster as I would not have to explain what it is. A visitor of OpenBuilds would know exactly what the Acro is and possible not craigslist. I am now curious as to why there is no classifieds here at openbuilds. @sharmstr do you care to elaborate as to why there is not classifieds here at openbuilds?
Well, I guess it's because Openbuilds is a business and there are people (not me - I'm here purely as a volunteer) who's livelihoods depend on it. It's understandable that you feel frustrated when you want to sell an Openbuilds machine in order to buy another, but it's always a problem drawing a line between what would be acceptable and what wouldn't, so the only way Openbuilds can be fair to everyone is to say no advertising things for sale. Alex.
I will elaborate. It is not a strange concept. How many car dealers allow you to come set up shop on their property to sell your used car? How many sporting good stores allow you to set up inside their building to sell your used sporting goods? If someone nearby you where logistics were easy were in the market for a used laser engraver and you put it up on Craigslist, or the Facebook market place, they wouldn't need to know what an Acro is because hopefully it would be advertised as a laser engraver. Then you could post a link to what brand it is for their further research. I know that when I was in the market for a bike trailer, I typed the words "bike trailer" into the Craigslist search bar and an hour and a half later I was hooking up a bike trailer to my bike. There are a lot of CNC and laser engraving forums out there that have classified sections.
@Giarc It was under the assumption that you guys had great customer service but the replies that I am receiving is interesting. @Alex Chambers answered my question without any attitude but the two Openbuilds team members came across a little hostile. @Alex Chambers Thank you for your reply to my question with out the attitude.
Shoot. I missed the part where you asked me to elaborate. Unfortunately I couldnt/cant. I dont work for OpenBuilds. I'm an end user like you. All I did when I saw your question was first look for a classified section, then went and read the terms of service for this forum.
OpenBuilds Team Members = most are moderators - people volunteering their time to help run the forum cleanly, nicely and keeping everyone happy They are private individuals, with their own opinions, etc not paid by anyone. If you stick around the forum long enough and help out, you too can become one The forum is also relatively seperated from the Store. If you need customer service, contact the Store via Support As an actual staff member, I'll just mention, have a read through Terms of Service and Rules | OpenBuilds - I'll close this thread to further replies
I also do not work for OpenBuilds. I apologize if I sounded hostile, I was just trying to give analogies as to why there are no classifieds and suggestions of places you could sell it.
