Hi All I am currently building a new machine and will use closed loop stepper motors with drivers. I still want to use the Blackbox controller but am unsure whether I can just wire the blackbox motor terminals to the inputs on the closed loop stepper driver? I also have a Duet2Wifi board (from ooznest / workbee) and can potentially use that although I prefer to use the Blackbox. I also intend to connect a VFD in future. This is the driver I will use.
There are people here much better qualified than I am to answer your question about the blackbox, but I believe with the Duet2 you need to use external drivers. You can add up to 5 external drivers to the Duet using an expansion board. That's the limit of my knowledge on the subject, but the link below might be a starting point for more research.
