As closed loop steppers are driven in exactly the same way as steppers, then yes of course. Servos require their own drivers, so no.
Except BlackBox is designed around onboard drivers, no convenient terminals to wire signals from. May as well just go with gnea/grbl for wiring External drivers, rather than using a BlackBox, and then bypassing 80% of it ?
