I use Debian Linux for my computers. Does any of your software controllers use Linux operating systems? I am new to CNC devices so I will need to get some tutorials if available. I am now desiging a larger table top design OX type machine. I will be using the top of my assembly table for the base. It is 97" x 49" x 1" contractor size particle board. I built a honey comb top 5" thick several years ago and it is very flat and stable. It is very strong. I plan to use 1/2 " x 3" aluminum strap on the sides of the top for the side rails but have not found a source yet for the longer screws. Can you get longer 8mm screws from your suppliers? I will probably use 2 20x80 pieces for the gantry cross top for strength. I plan to cut balsa for model airplanes to start. Other things will be done later so the need for strength. Thanks for the help. Don
OpenBuilds Software - FREE Software for CNC Control: OpenBuilds CONTROL and OpenBuilds CAM - .deb packages are available for CONTROL, and CAM just runs in the browser
I use both bCNC and OpenbuildsCONTROL on my Xubuntu notebook. I transfer gcode files to it via Wifi. no problem.
