hi there and happy new year to all........my old laptop was JUST capable of running 'control' software however thought id treat myself to a new laptop......got a good acer chrome book.... downloaded control and then it was revealed by screen message of 'cannot run this programme go to app store' and cannot locate any suitable alternative if i cannot get rge open builds control software how am i too control me workbee going again has anyone any suggestions please cheers roy
As you have found out, you cant run it on chromebook. Have you seen the new Interface?: INTERFACE CNC Touch Controller Or you can buy something like this: PiPO X10 TV Box 10.8 Inch Mini PC Windows 10 & Android 5.1 US Plug Its what @Peter Van Der Walt uses (the guy behind Control) Others are starting to use the Pi 4 but that's unsupported. Hi there I’m in a pickle with my work bee 1010..... I bought it 2nd hand got it going and did a few likttle jobs...a..ok Then I shrunk the command screen down with Ctrl and - and couldn’t get it to get readable again by doing ctrl and +.......agh Openbuilds guys suggested a new pc..... did that but got a chrome book that don’t support command! So got me self a dell pc with windows 10 that does support command Connected all up.... com 3 etc won’t connect ....saying in the log Unable to locate firmware So can’t get anything running .....aggghhhh Anyone give me a pointer? Cheers dude......i will try..i kinda remember doing that with my first efforts before shrinking my screen. .my newer pc is a dell running win 10 so i think its 64 bit amd so i will download the win 10 64 bit drivers......can you remind me of what to do with the drivers or will command pick them up from the folder...sorry to appear like an old steam driven oldtimer......im trying to zoom into this modern age!!! cheers roy
cheers for that @sharmstr......it seems as though that drivers already on my pc ive just tried to connect command to the workbee and it went through an updating cycle...that got me stoked!!!....however after the update i tried to connect and still the same error message in the log....cannot locate firmware!!! see screenshot still in the land of pickle!!! hellllppp!! I so want to get this baby up and running again...and have a go at relief maps in wood...like the far out stuff youve done(lake tahoe...proper good for all the mountain heads out there.....me mate lives in boulder and i am sick of him posting snowy shots of awsomeness!!! as here in little old uk everything is in lockdown!!!) cheers roy

thanks peter...i just changed the port and...... hurrah its connected.....but now when i try and jog it the lights on controller flicker and theres a slight clunk but the axes do not move. any ideas cheers from roy
shite.......a newbee technical term!! Ive done it again....in order to fit the image to screen I have used ctrl and minus sign to shrink the image in the COMAND GUI and this has shrunk all of the GUI and it will not get bigger by using CTRL and plus sign ( is till poss to see the data , just!......but its a proper pain in the arse) anyone out there have any idea on how i can get back to a normal screen I have tried uninstalling COMMAND and downloading it again but its still tiny cheers people if you can help out

If so could i pick your brains on getting similar with UKs little mountains and hills.....ie vectric ? DEMs etc.....just getting me head around shimple shtuff......but would love to get au fait with CNC XYZ plus 4th rotary axis sttuff. Anyways cheers
