Im trying to build a low cost CoreXY diode laser using a MKS Gen L V1.0 controller (ATMEGA2560). I was able to flash GRBL onto the controller and connect to it via OpenControl. I did get a bunch of jibberish/random characters in addition to the parameters output when connecting but X and Y jogging both appeared to work perfectly. Once I unplug the controller from my computer it fails to connect to OpenControl any time after that. If I reflash the firmware it will then connect again. Any ideas on where to start with troubleshooting this issue? I tried loading a simple blink program to the controller and that didnt appear to reset after being unplugged so Im guessing its something Ive got wrong on the firmware side but Im not really sure where to look.
