Hello! Does anyone knows if it's possible to convert the LEAD CNC 1510 into 1515? If it's possible, what spares do we need to convert? Thank you.
It is possible. At minimum, you would need a longer lead screw plus the tensioning bearings and two 1500mm Cbeams. You would also need the additional gantry plates, wheel kits, angled aluminum blocks, and additional fasteners for all these new components. If you want to get it right the first time, look at this parts list and watch the video where the gantry is built. They lay out all the parts required. Then figure out what you already have and purchase what you do not have. I am modifying an older Ox variant to basically a 1510 with a high z and this is how I figured out everything I needed. Keep in mind that you have a knockoff so you might run into some issues trying to add genuine OpenBuilds parts to it.
