Could anyone look at these side by side couplings and tell me if the right one is ok. The left is a pic of my X which looks fine, I think. The one on the right is from my Z which looks stretched. Is that normal? I have a Workbee 1050 with Nema 23 motors and the machine has about 30 minutes of use so far (I am new at this). Thanks Mike
Looks like you crashed into the top stop on the axis pretty hard and spun the lower end of the coupling down the threads. (Such and event ring any bells?) Anyway, the coupling is probably toast. Even if it does spring back I wouldn't trust it.
Slightly loose setscrew on the leadscrew side of the coupler: Made it act like a "nut" winding itself down the leadscrew. Tighten them properly to avoid that happening. That one is toast though, replace it.
