I need to find a source for some extrusion that is curved. I need a 4 foot section with a pretty good curve. If you have any ideas please let me know.
Do you need curved along the width dimension something like this one (this is a 30mm example, but the curve direction is the same) If so, then it really has to be extruded that way. Or do you need it curved along the 'length'? If it is along the length, then I know here in the UK there is at least one company that specialises in bending extrusion and it may be worth calling a few as sometimes having even one-off pieces done is not horribly expensive. Where are you based? The other approach to getting it curved along its length is to order a straight section, and I know of a number of shipping companies who will ensure it is very curved by the time it arrives Evan
My question is why you need a curve. Rolling extrusion into a curve is fairly simple. Doing it without some distortion though is nearly impossible. So if you’re looking for a curved roller track, expect some waviness in the surface.
