Here's my thing to "cut" the cross-sections are a pocket of 2mm. however, when it's cutting around the whole piece and the pocket, it's not removing everything.. Except drawing a new design with a prolongation of the cross-section, is there any trick to do in Aspire to have a pocket and the cut (around the whole piece) to be clean? (see red mark on picture) Thank you!
If I understand correctly, it is failing to cut a small amount at each end of the pockets? If you are trying to cut each as individual pockets, you need to extend the pocketing vectors at least 1/2 the diameter of the end mill. Because it is a round tool it is impossible for it to remove all material unless it cuts beyond the pocket by 1/2 the diameter. I do not know of any trick other than making the whole thing one pocket. But if they are different depths, that won't work. So joining them all as one vector should be quick if they are all the same depth.
How do you like Aspire? I was thinking of upgrading. I am curious how user friendly it is for creating 3D files of my own.
to be honest, I'm new to aspire, I'm not sure I could comment well enough but the vector thing is a pita... Just extending the pocket is 4%)($/%)!/$%, I guess I don't understand the soft good enough yet
lol 10 sec later, found how it worked... I was using sketchup before... so a lot of thing is different
