Dewalt DW618 router motor

    This morning, I was making a sign for someone. While changing bits, I almost burned my finger by touching the shaft lock button. I found out that the collet nut was hot. Is the bearing bad? I think that Porter-Cable stopped making routers.

    quite possibly a bad bearing. how much noise does it make?
    collet nut might also get hot from heat transferred from the bit. what were you cutting and for how long?
