Hi, I have some 30x60 profiles (nut 6) and was thinking on building a frame out of it, I know they are not V-slot and also not the same size standard, but they feel strong even to built an light router (initially it would be a laser, this was an additional thought). My only issue is, on systems like Acro, we mount the motor to a plate and the shaft will protrude over the rail so the pulley align with the rail slot. It works fine with 20mm rail system, but with 30mm the slot is further away, so the shaft of the steppers are not long enough. (was I clear about the problem? ) Any Ideas of how I can solve it...I can install the pulley at the very end of the shaft, but I don't think it would be stable/reliable enough. cheers. K.
One of my possible solution could be this: Connecting both motors with a rod along the x axis., so the pulley is placed on the rod not in the Shaft....Make any sense to have this rod when you have motors on both sides? could I have any sync problem between the steppers?
