I was swapping out the x4 for the Blackbox X32. When I bought it, I didn't realize that the DIR pin has been replaced with an enable pin. My H100 VFD needs the dir pin (and some of my work requires climb vs conventional milling so the spin direction matters). I saw reference in one place to soldering on a pin, but it wasn't obvious with the circuit layout the best way to connect something like that. Also not sure that modifying the board is the most reasonable solution.

Is there a way to leverage the relays for M3/M4 commands, or change one of the parameters? Or does getting the dir pin back require custom firmware?

The specs say: VFD Spindle (Direction, Enable, 0-10v) Supported

Relay2 is the Direction relay. Com = DCM, NC/NO to FWD/REV (or the other way round)

Thanks. Is there any documentation on the Relay's? e.g., Which commands activate which piece? I have not seen that in the online docs.

    Standard gcode. M3 = clockwise, M4 = anticlockwise.

You can also redefine them to do whatever you want by recompiling grblHAL
