Hi everyone, I just upgraded my machine to DQ542MA drivers from tb6600 drivers. Machine is moving but when I try to move the machine at full speed the motors stall. (Video below). I tried lowering my max feedrate to 50mm/s with no luck. I have them configured for 1/4 stepping, 2.84 peak current. And half current on. Any suggestions? Nema 23 345oz high torque motors Meanwell 24v power supply Openbuilds 8mm leadscrew all axis Adruino uno with estlcam control software Also do you think I should be using 1/4 or 1/8 stepping? Thanks, Mark
some combination of: reduce the acceleration increase the current check for friction in the drives (the leadscrew in the video runs offcenter, for example) increase the voltage, anything less than 24v will always be slow.
David thanks for the reply. What would you recommend setting the current to, for the openbuilds nema 23 high torque motors? I shouldn’t go over 3 amps right?
I had to drop the current down to 1.92 to get it to work right. Think I might upgrade my 24v power supply to 36v now.
