I'm working on a dust shoe for the Lead 1515 that allows me to hook up 4" dust hose from my big cyclone to the CNC. It is comprised of 4 parts - 2 parts for the shoe and 2 parts for the wye at the top which takes 2 - 2" flex hoses and joins them into one 4" flex hose. The wye is mounted to the carriage on the gantry (using existing tapped holes) so none of the weight of the wye or the 4" dust hose is resting on the Z axis as it moves up and down.

Looks great, Brian. Do you have that 4" on an arm that swivels to your cyclone? I'm working on a similar setup but not near as advanced.

Hi Rhett, it is on an arm but it doesn't swivel. It didn't need to I ran the machine all over the place and it had no problem with the flex hose. Everything works great but I'm abandoning this design anyway because the ports on the side of the shoe limit my X travel by almost 2 inches on either side. I'm working on an entirely different design now!

Check out my recent thread about dust collection arms. There are a couple great ideas. I'll try and post my 4th version of what I'm up. I tried a few versions of an overhead arm but I found the machine to be too big for anything reasonable. I think I'm also a little too concerned with cosmetics.

Looks like you have a 3D printer? I'll have to pick your brain one day about that.
