Hello to all! Can somebody help? I have constantly this message coming up: Error 9- G-code locked or jog state (G1X92.8757Y181.9428). For the same job, sometimes it will complete but mainly stops here and there with this message???
The alarm would have shown more info, particularly the ALARM that caused the lock Rather screenshot, or note down complete messages so we can help you locate the root cause
Right, so it was an alarm, caused by a limit switch that triggered. Did it hit a switch at the time? If not, that would be a False Hard Limit - most likely caused by Electromagnetic Interference. See docs:blackbox:faq-emi [OpenBuilds Documentation]
Reading the other members questions and answers, It's probably the case, so I will check that. To answer your question, It did not touch any switch limit. Many thanks for the advice, Let's check and hope! Cheers jp
Hello Peter, I promised to keep you informed, so after checking and putting everything to earth, some progress as been made, the machine worked for 2h30 hours then I got another error message (see file attached) Anyway thanks again for your help! Cheers jp
at xx:58:10 in the log you can see your controller rebooted (or at least appears to have) Either EMI based USB reset, some other application on your computer that scanned USB/Serial ports and thus triggered a reset, someone hit the reset button on the front of the BlackBox, or you have a wiring short somewhere that briefly shorted V+ to GND starving the controller of its 5v rail, causing a brown-out reset. Could also be computer related: Did you remember to disable Windows's power saving: docs:blackbox:install-windows-selective-suspend [OpenBuilds Documentation], also try a different computer - that websocket crash in there can also indicate the PC is just a little too slow
I am actually searching for another computer as the one I am working with is very old. That might be a problem I guess. I'll make some changes soon as I can. Thanks and all the best
Spindle startup up just before the G4 pause which waits for spindle to come up to speed right? So spindle spits out EMI and causes a false limits trigger: docs:blackbox-x32:faq-emi [OpenBuilds Documentation] - fix spindle setup so its not creating so much EMI
I know I'll sound stupid again, but how do I fix the spindle set up? The solution I read in the article you sent says to buy a swing arm or change my limit switches, is that it?
If you arent running our Limit switches (they have onboard filtering) it might be the easiest win yes. If you have your VFDs mains cable running right next to endstop cabling in same cable chain, that will also cause havoc The article is quite comprehensive
Just so you know, my mother language is french so I'm not always familiar with some of the terms. Thanks for understanding. I do have Open Builds limit switches. What I understand is that the cable going to the router and the cables to the motor and Z axis should be separated? I sent pics of my setup
