Hi there! I have exported a filefrom my solidworks 2023 in .dxf format. However, reading the forum, openbuilds CAM does not interpret well the drawing. I leave a screenshot of the configuration I have to export the files in .dxf in solidworks. In addition, trying to load the file as a .jpeg image also gives error the openbuilds CAM. Someone can help me?? I would like to use solidworks in addition to OpenBuildsCAM without having to use other drawing software like FreeCAD or something else. Thanks!
That's unreasonable request. One sometimes do need to use intermediate CADs to cleanup a file for CNC use You need to give CAM (most not only ours) Closed Vectors: See docs:software:file-errors [OpenBuilds Documentation]
I have generated an .SVG image and it seems to solve the problem using Inkscape. But... Is the path it generates normal? Note: I am making an application for a CNC plasma. Attached is the GCODE generated and the path generates.
Doesn't look correct no. Are you sure you converted all the SVG entities to PATHS? Covers that as well When posting asking for review, we also need the Workspace Export OBC file (File > Export Workspace)
