It runs infinity.. DRO in the millions, hope that answers the question, if not I guess I am not completely understanding it.
That does answer it better yes. Thanks OK, lets do rule out firmware then: Use http://svn.io-engineering.com:8080/?driver=ESP32&board=BlackBox X32 to build firmware (latest, set number of axes to 4) , download and extract the zip. CONTROL > Wizards and Tools > Firmware Flashing tool > X32 tab > Machine Style > Custom: Firmware .BIN file > Select the firmware file > Flash
Well.... that went brilliant, now x32 is locked up and wont respond to anything, cant disconnect from, grbl setting screen is blank, reflashed with original firmware, nothing, cant select a machine, absolutely nothing.
Reboot the computer. If its still doesn't connect, reflash with stock firmware. Flashing can't break anything. Double check that you are on correct Tab en Port in flashing tool and correct port when connecting
I did reflash with stock firmware, comm3 ftdi usb to serial is the only option available in the flash wizard. I just reflashed stock firmware again and rebooted blackbox, same result, cant disconnect , cant select machine, no grbl settings on grbl settings screen. grbl setting screen only has 1. select machine with the drop down but it wont let you select any of the machies and 2. customize profile(optional) and past that the screen is blank.
no luck on upgrading the firmware, x32 would not connect, rebooted PC, blackbox, reset blackbox, still would not connect, had to reflash original firmware to get it to operate.
Good that that is back. Provide the firmware.bin you tried flashing so we can see, are you sure you used the correct parameters in grblHAL Web Builder?
This is all the info Can find on it Flash adresses: bootloader.bin 0x1000 partitions.bin 0x8000 firmware.bin 0x10000
What you have there is not the firmware binary requested - also thats not the file to be flashed (there are several files in the ZIP, only the firmware binary matters) so if you flashed that one (the text file) it would explain your issues. If thats the file you selected instead of the binary, do let us know so we can talk you through the right file then.
I didnt ask for any identifiers I asked for Because I did the same steps here 1) used grblHAL Web Builder to build a new 4-axes build 2) Flashed it using CONTROL And reset as prompted Then I clicked Connect and it connected fine So.... I asked YOUR copy of the firmware you compiled (Upload the ZIP or the firmware.bin) so I can flash it and see if theres a problem with the firmware you built, or if its something you are doing wrong while flashing/connecting to see if we can help you move forward productively Furthermore, you can see I tested with a G1 A180 F10000 and it stopped nicely on 180 in the DRO (And that was same for old version of firmware so still not sure where you are doing something differently)
And thats EXACTLY what I did and when prompted to push reset I DID, and it wont move the machine, I cannot disconnect from controller, rebooted cpu and still cannot disconnect from controller, still have a grbl setting screen that has zero information on it, the only thing I can do is reflash to stock firmware.
Always happy to help, but you'd have to let go of the frustration and help me help you. Screenshots of flash logs, Grbl Settings backup, etc haven't really been forthcoming (motors wont move until you setup a Grbl Settings profile after changing firmware). Still haven't uploaded the firmware you built so I can test if it does the same here. From here its a lot like guessing based on one line replies and thats not a productive way to help When you are up for it, try the above steps, with the stock firmware (and see if you can connect) Then if that works, try the attached (Using the Custom Firmware Binary option) too as it works for me.
