I have a hopefully quick question, I build my own CNC machine from the C-Beam Gantry setups. I noticed on every single CNC machine that is created here, every gantry set up has 8 V-Wheels and 2 large brackets on either side of the C-Beam. When I build mine, I only used one bracket and 4 wheels.

So, I am wondering how much stronger does it make the machine. I figure it does make it more ridged, but is it worth it enough to upgrade my machine now? I am away from the shop otherwise I would send a picture, but thank you for reading and those that post.

That really depends on what you want the machine to do. What size is it? and what are you cutting with it. If you are only asking the machine to do light work and it's working fine I would suggest not fixing something that's not broke. If you want to machine hard materials (hardwood or aluminium) then you need the machine to be as rigid as possible.
