Hi everybody, like tittle says, i'm from Chile (South America) and my lenguage is spanish, so sorry about my words. I'm interesting to build about a router CNC (wood and sometimes aluminium) and for work reasons I can not dedicate myself full time in my home project. I ignore the issue of openbuilds and I have tried to work with profiles of iron or wood, however at this moment the time factor is the most important. I have recourse to this forum to receive your advice. I would like to know if there is a complete pack to build the machine, or if it is only the structural part of profiles and bearings, but I am afraid I do not know how to finish the job and finally get the machine running. My intention is to acquire something very similar to this: MyCNC(1000mm x 1500mm) Thanks for the space to talk about my projects, Greetings from Chile and blessings of ADONAI for all.
Take your pick from one of our well documented bundles? Machine Bundles - OpenBuilds Part Store That should be the easiest way (less time) to get into the Hobby
Thanks my friend, I thought there would be more variety of projects, and I wanted to build something similar to that, but with more extension to work. a) Will you know of any project within this same site that fulfills the same function as "OpenBuilds C-Beam Machine XLarge", but with more space to work? b) would it be cheaper to buy a machine in openbuilds for parts? Considering that I live in Chile? c) although I have difficulties with the time, I can also relax in that, nevertheless while before, better d) For example I would like to mill 60mm x 120mm, that's a lot bigger than what "OpenBuilds C-Beam Machine XLarge" offers, is there any other alternative? Greetings...
Unfortunately there is no specific kit of the nature you seek available from the OpenBuilds parts store at this time. There may be at some point in the future as Mark Carew indicated in another thread he is working on a second generation OX but no timeline has been provided. I would suggest taking a look at smw3d.com and their OX offerings. They are an authorized OpenBuilds distributor so any OpenBuilds parts you get from them are genuine OpenBuilds quality and reports indicate their service is excellent so you should have no problems there. They don't indicate a 1000 x 1500 unit but I'm sure they can work one up for you. They also have some excellent build videos listed on the site to help with putting the system together.
