I am planning on making a 1.5kw spindle cnc diy build. It's air cooled 4.1kg er11 spindle. Here are the electronics I plan to pair it with: 4 10kgcm bipolar nema 23 stepper motors 4 TB6600 stepper drivers 1 High quality power supply I plan to make an indymill frame build with 40 series aluminium extrusion. Can the 10kgcm stepper motors handle the spindle well? What power supply do you suggest?
BlackBox Motion Control System and NEMA 23 Stepper Motor - High Torque Series runs several 1.5kw builds around here. But since you are in the planning phase, remember you also need a frame that can resist 1.5kw of cutting forces... Most people get along better with a 0.8kw spindle.
