cheers peter....its an openbuids machine with a 1000 x 1000 mm baseboard...a bosch router gkf 600...the controller has no name on it but has 2 small fans mounted on it. i have used vcarve desktop (free version) to chose thier free snowflakes design as a practice.....then saved the gcode as a file......I then downloaded the openbuilds control software....i opened up the snowflake file in command (could see the gcodes and image) but could not connect to the pc The power unit to cnc machine is (24.4v) and the usb makes the plink noise when plugged into pc BUT IT WONT CONNECT WHEN I PRESS CONNECT BUTTON any help will be appreciated by newbie roy in sheffield uk
See if you can get some pics of the control board - what's under the fans (if you can see that) might give a clue. Alex.
Acro, LEAD, Sphinx or Workbee? Refer to Machine Bundles - OpenBuilds Part Store What controller does it have? BlackBox? BlackBox Motion Control System or something else? (if it is a BlackBox, refer to docs:blackbox:faq-usb-connection-failed [OpenBuilds Documentation] - if its some other controller that won't entirely apply) Where and when did you buy it?
Hi I bought it from a guy who has a camper van business and it was too small for his needs....I cannot find any details of what model it is other than what I’ve posted so far....here’s some photos of the controller and machine
Controller is an xPro V4: See Spark-Concepts/xPro-V4 Post screenshot of the connection log, some of the xPro versions still had an old versions of Grbl (then you can just update) - but I think all the V4s were all Grbl 1.1, as were most of the later V3s) or it may be dead Or maybe you don't have the right drivers? Virtual COM Port Drivers Lets see the log and log will tell you what it is: You can find it in CONTROL on the Serial Terminal tab Sidenote, from the pictures it looks like a Workbee OpenBuilds Workbee 1010 (40" x 40") - but maybe not original, some of the parts looks self-made though I may be wrong
