well i need help . i want to build small cnc machine like chinese 5axis 3040 but to be able to cut some softer steel like st35 or 16mo3 ... dimensions i kinda need are in range of that 3040 cnc but reading a loot that cn cnc is junk at best ...week non precise drivers mbo is like women one day work ok ,other wont next one work a bit stops work ... to get some what better cnc i need 500€ driver mbo then i need better stiff parts ,and in all i need new cnc ... and other thing is to build one that have movable hand like 5AXISMAKER just smaller and cheeper 5k for plastic soft wood toy is huh help
if you want to cut steel then you need something like the mills from Tormach Personal CNC (PCNC) | Small CNC Machines or build your own like this steel is much harder to cut than copper/aluminum, and you need a much heavier and stiffer machine to do it.
nice ,but that thing is hugeeeeee compared to mini mills this can mill titan 5mmper run easy i got question do you know which ox builds will be easy converted to all metal/steel build vs all alu/wood ? and to be possible to add 4th axis thing --------- ---(Tailstock CNC Rotary Axis 4th Axis A Axis 4Jaw 100mm Chuck Rotational Axis Table | eBay) -----something like this ----- i look prolly 30 of ox designs but i just don't have clue ,,all these builds look weak vs one on video i was thinking to use steal square pipes ,with steel plate for rest parts cca 10mm tick and to weld table like 6mm bottom plate then 10mm lines that have welded 5mm "tape" over to look like t slots
