In the process of starting my work bee 1010 build. I purchased 5 20x40x1000mm v slot linear rails and 3 20x80x1000mm v slot linear rails, and 2 of 20x40 rails were bent on the corner slots. I don’t want to negate the open builds store as the package had damage appearing to where the box could have been dropped. The 20x40s are for the base so I believe I can work with them it’s just kind of disappointing. Anymore it appears no matter who I order from if it’s larger packages there’s always something that gets messed up. Which is a shame because no matter how well quality control is for a company, carrier companies can tarnish it.
It is disappointing all around when packages get damaged. No worries! Reach out to Customer Service and they will make this right for you! http://support.openbuilds.com/support/home
Seems like you could do with keeping an eye on the delivery company and the drivers. To be honest, you've gotta go quite hard to damage the stuff you get from Openbuilds. I've just had a delivery from the States and all was great! My rubbish bin that week was overflowing with wrappings!!
I used to make RC airplane kits, had an issue with one postal worker who thought it was Ok to fold the box in half so it fit in her van better... crunch... snap.. OMG! she did it twice!
The open builds store was pretty cool about, told they would send me new ones if i wanted, but like I said Im pretty sure they will work just fine, as they are mainly for the base support. I swear though carriers are just getting worse by the day. GrayUK you aint kidding about the packaging, I was shocked to see the damage with all the plastic and bubble wrap. It took multiple passes with my utility knife to get through it all.
