I built my own rotary with a nema 17. Can someone please show me how to wire it so I can flip a switch from normal to the rotary? I've got a switch and a seperate controller for it.
pretty big switch but it will work. what you need to do is switch between 'normal' (is that X or Y?) to rotary, switching only the 'step' signal wire. rotary controller step in --------# # # --------------------- X/Y step in | controlboard step out ----------------| The '# # #' are 3 pins of the switch, the center one being the common pin, and the 2 outside ones being switched on in turn by the switch being one side or the other.
