How can I use Fusion 360 to create 3D craving for CNC router? I used to create 2D drawings in AutoCAD, save the drawings, import drawing into VCrave Pro 10.5, create toolpaths, and run jobs. I don't have the money for AutoCAD and AutoCAD compatible software have problems with saving files that can be loaded into VCrave Pro.
You can save your Fusion 360 model as a .stl file and import that into Vcarve. That is what I do. For example, I wanted to carve a mason bee into the sides of some mason bee houses I have been making. I found an image online, I traced it in Fusion 360 and extruded it onto a round concave drawing. I saved it as an .stl and now I can import it into a Vcarve project's work stock piece and scale it however large I want it. Then create the tool paths.
