I have searched for the settings as I followed the video as he hooks it up to BB4. I am hooking up a BBx32 using the 0-10 + to go VI and AMC is going to the Neg of black box and have a jumper from DCM to FOR. my spindle will not shutoff using the M3 0 or M5 , which is a common problem I see as I am looking in the forum. today I let the smoke out no fault but my own as I should have unhooked the spindle. I can't wait to get all the darn bugs worked out, I think I am going to like switching from UCCNC/Gecko g540 to Openbuilds BB. I only switched as openbuilds plays better with the OPT Laser that I am waiting for sitting in customs. I just did a reset and setup the VFD again using the tool on command variable speed spindle on (M3 s24000) the RPM reads 24000 on the VFD when I do tool off command the RPM goes to 1440.. do I need to set PD11 to 133? So sorry to hear that! VFD vendor would be best person to ask, they all have slightly different parameters, but in essence you want to configure a Min Speed of 7200 RPM or Min Freq of 120Hz - mainly to prevent damage to spindle or VFDs IGBTs, but it usually works nicely as a start/stop too Otherwise, you can wire the Enable Jumper through RELAY1 (which is Tool Enable) to handle the stop/start. In this example, the VFDs are configured (using their parameters) to accept combined Enable/For and Enable/Rev signals - so we bridge Relay1 (As tool Enable) and Relay2 (As Fwd/Rev) with a short wire, and then run the VFDs COMMON to Relay1 COM, and FWD/REV respectively off Relay2's NO/NC But its still good practise to get the minimum speed VFD config working even if - just as a layer of protection - running spindle too slow can burn it out (cooling not working) or pop the IGBTs inside the VFD
Peter thanks for the picture that helped me figure out how to control the 24Volt from the power supply that I sent to a cam selector switch 1(spindle),0(off), 2(laser) that controls 2 relays that I installed. I have relay 1 for my spindle and relay 2 will be for my OPT lazer when ever I finally get it (reason for OpenBuilds switch). I am up and working on my 2nd project for the day after I found my -24 volt leaks to earth ground at my 2 limit switches stopping my probe from working correctly..
