I have started putting money into the paypal account for a mill. I just listened to a CNC video with servo's..... The quiet is stunning. With a Chinese 1.5kw and servos it might even be wife friendly in the my dungeon. This has the potential to be a very expensive hobby. I also started watching lathe videos and 4rth axis. If someone had shown me this magic when I was young definitely would have changed my ideas of the magic things I might do.
All of that quietness changes when the end mill touches material. Don't put your money on the volume of the machine itself.
