Hi everyone. I've had it with my 3D Printed printer causing me vibration and misalignment issues so i decided to rebuild it with OpenBuilds hardware.

I've been designing it in Fusion for a bit now and I cannot for the life of my find a solution for my idler pulleys. So far the only options I have found was to either use the idler plates and raise my gantry plates by quite a lot so that the belts will align straight with it (rising always means more chances of vibrations) or use the threaded rod plates. That second option works fine for the X gantry (although it is ugly), but for the Y the plate is too long and I would have to cut it to avoid using 40mm extrusion for the peripheral frame.

I want to have a fram that fully touches the table as I plan to enclose it using the frame for ABS printing.

Any ideas, suggestions, anything? I'm at my wits end.

If you split that Y 2080 to two 2040 and move it more to edges of buildplate you can hide belt between them (if I understand what you want) and also as second effect you will enhance bottom frame rigidity
