I've been searching the threads for some info and I'm having trouble finding some good info to start with.

I'm trying to figure out what microstep setting to use. I can go down to 1/32 step, should I?
This is the controller I have. Arduino CNC Shield – 100% GRBL Compatable | Protoneer.co.nz

Should all three axis use the same microstepping?

Is it possible to flip the Y axis C-Beam so the motor is in the front? This will help me for placement of the machine up against a wall.

Is there a reason the table is limited to 12x12 when it looks like there is quite a bit of clearance from the sides.
My thoughts are to install threaded inserts on the sides/front/back for hold down clamps.

Does anyone know where to buy a 1/8" collet for a Dewalt 611 router. All I can find is a sleeve adapter.

    Thanks!

First you want microstepping at 8x. I have the same setup.

Y-Axis can go either way far as I can tell.

As for inserts check out a company called
    The Elaire Corporation

Make sure to order for Palm style router. The others are to big.
