    See docs:interface:connect-generic [OpenBuilds Documentation]

For wiring, you can use any of the 2.54mm "dupont" or the Molex SL series connectors, or even just modify the cable that come with the Interface

Thanks! I didn’t want to modify the cable it comes with just I case I ever get a black box or want to resell for any reason. I just wasn’t sure what type of connector I needed. Do you need any special tools to crimp those? Also, is this the right connection?

Ok. Usability question. Is there a way to jog to a specific location on the interface directly? Other then jog control, I’d like to be able to send it to an exact location. Or is there a way through the web portion to jog?

    OpenBuilds/firmware :)

Jog is the only interactive way. Correct way would be to have extra position moves in either the gcode file (home or probe as known positions, then offset moves from there)

or you can create extra little gcode files for your own use if its something you do often. Just a couple moves in a file for example

I got my interface bolted onto my 2.7 blackbox and so far I'm really happy. The only thing I'm missing is the ability to add a custom tool command. I love in cncJS having a frame macro so I can make sure I'm within my stock, any chance to add something similar? For now I just load up my gcode into cncjs, frame it, then disconnect and run it on the blackbox but that will get pretty annoying I imagine.

As an embedded system it cannot calculate gcode extents.
So it cannot know how the big file will be. Time to start trusting your CAM process. Ensure you know your origins, etc

Hey Guys, Just received my new OB Interface and tried to hook it up to my Black Box (BB) I installed the jumper and made sure that the other jumpers were in the correct positions (mine came pre configured) all I get is the Mario Brothers Game and a message when I reconnect that It cannot connect to GRBL. I have taken the BB apart twice and am not getting anything On top of that I cannot access the web interface to set up the WiFi...
My Question is, am I not doing something correctly or do I have a faulty unit???

I also was then able to point a web browser to the IP address of the Interface and upload files. So, I'm up and running! Yea.

Interface Firmware V1.43 is released: We had to make some changes to the Partioning table - so this version will need to be Flashed via CONTROL (rare occurrence, but sometimes we may need to make updates available that cannot be flashed using wifi/usb drive):

    See docs:interface:firmware-error-partitions [OpenBuilds Documentation]

    - Make sure you have CONTROL v1.0.274
    - Use a different USB-C Cable than the one that came with your Interface
    - Refer to docs:interface:firmware-update-control [OpenBuilds Documentation]
    - Make sure the dropdown menu displays Firmware v1.43, if not, download the binary from https://github.com/OpenBuilds/firmware/raw/main/interface/firmware.bin and flash it using the "custom image" option

Apologies for any inconvenience on this unexpected requirement :)
I have now setup the partition table to be as large as possible so future updates (as far as possible) will be able to be updated Online/USB Drive again.

Im not getting Interface to update either. verified the data cable work by connecting to my phone and able to view directories on my mobile via comp. tried two different computers and CONTROL does not connect to Interface. "[10:53:06] [ Firmware Upgrade ] A fatal error occurred: Failed to connect to ESP32: Timed out waiting for packet header"

    Hold MODE
Hit reset just after clicking Flash while still holding MODE.

Alternatively (the button method is easy though, but do follow the instructions exactly) you can see docs:interface:flash-run-jumper [OpenBuilds Documentation] as another option (replaces the need to press the buttons: We recommend the button method because you do not need to open the Interface as you would for the Jumper method)

Enable Hard Limits: gnea/grbl - Grbl controls the Homing, not Interface

It shows that there is an update but then says not enough free space.

Not sure on whether to put feature requests here, on the forum as a new topic, or on GitHub. It would be nice to be able to save some defaults, for example, I'd like to have the jog speed by default to 25% or 50%, to reduce me messing things up.

In the docs I can't seem to find speed adjustments like the jog adjustments. Does this become active or available when in feed mode or is it at 100% feed all the time?
New muscle board arrives Saturday *excited*

Two of the touch buttons will allow you to set the jog speed in certain increments (I remember 1%, 5%, 10%, 25%, 50%, 100%, something like that). But at this moment, once the INTERFACE starts, the speed will be set to 100%, which is on the fast side, especially for e.g. the Z. And since it's all touch buttons, one could accidentally press the Z jog buttons and hit something you don't want to hit.
