Hi, I am setting up my INTERFACE CNC Touch and so far so good..except the x axis goes left when I press right and right when I press left… the Y and Z appear to function correctly!
Also if I try and run the probe, it moves opposite.. and the position number are also backwards…
I could re-wire the cables to the motors… but then it would be wrong on my computer.
Also.. will I still need my computer for calibrating and surface levelling?
I am running an Ox CNC 1500x1500 which profile should I use?

it is essential that, using the computer, you configure the correct directions for the machine.
OpenBuildsCONTROL makes it easy to change the axis directions.

jogging X+ must move the tool to the right of the material
jogging Y+ must move the tool 'away' (on a gantry machine, tool moves away, one moving table machine, table moves toward you)
jogging Z+ must move the tool up

once these are correct you can enable homing and make sure that the homing directions make the tool move toward the home switches.

at this point I would calibrate using the calibration wizard in CONTROL.

once homing is working correctly, the Interface will work fine.

Thanks! So to confirm.. I should re wire the motors, and change the control software to swop directions. And still use software for all calibration..?

no need to rewire motors, the GRBL settings for axis direction will fix the basic directions
then the settings for homing direction will fix homing directions so each axis goes toward the home switches.
after that calibration will fix leadscrew/belt pitch errors.

Thanks, I think it’s slowly making sense to me.. I will do some more work on it tomorrow and see how I go. Thanks again.
