I just installed the control interface on my black box, and I'm running a project (it's very detailed) and the controller keeps pausing mid-job, and I keep having to go in and hit "okay". I noticed several times when I did this, I took a static shock. Could this be a static build up that is causing the controller to pause? There's no error, and things resume as normal when I resume the program...Has anyone else encountered this? I've never seen this issue running it from my computer over USB.
Do you have dust collection system? Is the hose properly earthed (and conductive throughout to dissipate static?)
I do have a dust collection system, and it's grounded, yes. Should I also connect the controller to the gantry and ground that as well? That was the thought I was having.
With EMI, adding Grounds usually helps. Our comprehensive FAQ page has more tips too: docs:blackbox:faq-emi [OpenBuilds Documentation] Static shocks are usually a good indication that the dust hose + fast moving air + particles rubbing on hose is generating huge potentials. Throw a length of bare copper down the inside of the hose and earth end nearest the vacuum
